YDP - Ideas, Ideas, Ideas

I have met up with team on Friday and Wednesday to discuss ideas and concepts that will help us to focus. Using a variety of methods such as lateral thinking (randomly selecting a work from a dictionary), current concepts (urban designs etc) and collating different associations to the words. As this is a new way of thinking it has allowed me to look at approaching a new brief in another way and if you are unsure about how to begin a brief this is an interesting way to tackle it. Today we will be meeting our mentor for the first time, which will be interesting as we will be able to see how professional designers approach briefs and also the advice and knowledge they share with us will be beneficial.
