Rank?

The title offers may questions about the exhibition on show at the Leeds City Art Gallery as to what term of rank did it mean? taste or status? The title of the event I must admit did not interest me at first, but at a closer look, the work by selected artist of their representation of late society, (1615-2009) within illustrations and cartoons, the works places the people within this society into different groups and defines us by; estate, class, station, degree or rank.
The work created looks amazing, the work does have to be anaysed to see the thoughts and meaning behind each piece, (which i'm not good at). It reminds me of my old history lesson where journalists would write about members of parliaments about polical matters and I had to explain what the illustrations really meant. Unfortunaley I didn't really understand each individual piece of work, although I understood what all the works were about. I did love how they were presented and the details that has gone into them. The aura that I felt too, was amazing!
