Collaboration does not come easy to me. But twisting the brief to suit me does! So for this module I shall be collaborating with strangers, I don't know them, and they don't know me, they are not even aware that we are collaborating. This is important, because the affects of strangers on us, and vice-versa is of great interest to me. And that's pretty much the theme of this unknown collaboration.
Perceptions, judgement and opinion, we all have them, and all express them differently and this is what I hope this work will reveal. Through different media I am going to try and weed out different peoples perceptions of others to collate a giant book of the opinions of the people of Leeds. I shall send letters to random addresses asking for objects they feel represent art students as a community, e-mails to business asking what they think the current public perception is of the neccascity of their business during this economic downturn, a book is also hopefully circulating the pigeon holes of college being filled with a piece of work by everybody in the building, (I think this could be made stronger by asking the students to respond to a concept or phrase.) I'm considering a piece of live art too in which people can freely express their opinions of people they do not know. I'd even like your opinions of this project!?!?
